Breaking Up Pain - It Still Hurts Like Crazy, Why?

Let's face it, breaking-up hurts and it hurts badly!

The first few days or weeks after a break up are especially the most painful of all -- the pain feels like it'll never end.

MOS

-- You cry a lot

-- You feel lost and alone

-- all you see and hear reminds you of him/her and your time together

-- You feel hopeless and have a hard time imagining a happy future

-- You lose your appetite and interest in daily activities

-- You feel real pain and ache in your heart - intense sadness, jealousy, disappointment, rage, or even downright denial.

-- Your body aches all over and you have cramps, nausea, and dizziness.

-- You keep replaying the painful moments of the break-up

-- You feel sorry for yourself

These are all very normal reactions to a break-up even if the relationship was the worst relationship in the world. Thankfully, these intense torture gradually eases and most citizen with time find that it hurts less and less. They are able to think more calmly about what has happened, and at some point be "emotionally available" for other experiences.

Looking at it this way, it does seem that time unmistakably does heal all wounds even though some wounds take longer than others. But it's been weeks, months and even years after the break-up and you are still so overwhelmed by the taste that you are unable to recover and bounce back. Why can't time heal your wounds too?

From personal taste and working with others over the years, I strongly believe that it is not the ticking of the clock that heals the pain but rather the things we do or fail to do while that time that make the difference.

Any of these attitudes, notion patterns, behaviours or emotional processing styles can potentially hinder time's attempts to get on with the work of healing and keen on, or healing and trying to re-create a new relationship with one's ex.

1. Re-running the break-up over and over again, and rehearsing arguments you have had, again and again reasoning that maybe something will make sense at last and you will come to terms with the intense feeling of emptiness and loneliness. But often times what this seemingly rational thing to do does is keep you on the roller coaster of bitterness, anger, guilt, confusion, shame, embarrassment, disappointment and shock -- and can take you into the depths of depression.

2. reasoning that your happiness, sense of identity and your life itself is all tied to this one singular person and now it's all over. Just reasoning about the break-up stirs deep regret -- not regret about just losing your loved one but regret for all the "'wasted" time' and for all the lost dreams for the future. On the bad days, you feel as though you can't even breathe and plummet into a panic strike unable to fantasize a time to come without your ex. And while this may look to you like "proof' that you loved your ex a lot, in reality it's proof that your life is a giant gaping hole that nothing can ever fill, not even your ex and that in itself makes you so sad -- if it doesn't it should.

3. Refusing to be emotionally honest with yourself and admit that the painful emotions you feel are real -- and they are yours. This is so often the case with citizen who sort of regard emotions such as anger, sorrow, regret or feelings of loss as abnormal, unacceptable and incorrect. Because you feel disadvantaged for having these emotions you either fear feeling these emotions believing you'll lose operate to the emotions or because you do not want to admit that you are "less than perfect" you try to "bottle" up and end up effectively putting emotional processing on hold. That's a lot of self-imprisoning just to avoid a few minutes of "emotional weakness"!

4. Refusing to accept reality and unwilling to see how you are creating your own personal and relationship problems. When you see your problems as caused by external factors (such as, the man obviously has a qoute with commitment, the woman is damaged by this or that, if only he/she would do this I'd not have done that, if only our community was more..., it's my parents fault I am this way. Etc) you find yourself constantly seeing for person or some situation to blame -- your ex, his or her friends, the new man or woman in your ex's life etc. Blaming feeds your pain with emotional poison.

5. Dwelling on feeling guilty about past actions and beating the hell out of yourself for things that you said that shouldn't have been said and things that you did that now seeing back are unmistakably unmistakably stupid. There is a huge difference between taking accountability for your actions and constantly reminding yourself that you are a failure and will probably all the time be a failure because you have nothing to offer. Refusing to forgive yourself keeps you locked up in the past and unable to let go.

6. all the time reasoning of the worst, cursing your fate and constantly complaining about anything and everything. It's true that break-ups challenge your photo of how the world operates so much that the taste at last erodes optimism and replaces it with negativity, hopelessness and powerlessness. But just trying to make it straight through each day but not unmistakably living it or even seeing forward to the next grinds down your capability to even enjoy the tiny things in life. You just want to give up and go stick your head in sand -- as you wait for the world to change.

7. Taking almost all very personally and being hyper-vigilant to the most innocent of remarks. When you've been rejected and still feel that rejection, you become highly suspicious of other's intentions and become overly "rejection sensitive". Often times you feel rejection even where there is no rejection, and you may find that you react hastily in an effort to reject before you are rejected. This drives most good citizen and things out of your life adding to the feeling that you're being re-rejected again and again. You feel like there is just no end to the painful reality of being unwanted.

8. Wallowing in self-pity and unmistakably trying to solicit "pity" from anything you think might give it to you. After the break-up you want all your mutual friends to know how badly you are hurting (and may be, just may be they'll mention it to your ex in away that will make him or her think the break-up). But here is the problem, these citizen may not care, may not want to be complicated and may unmistakably think the break-up was a good thing for one or both of you. So when you don't get the response you expected, you feel like nobody unmistakably "cares", and sometimes you project your pain onto these citizen who may then react in ways that additional hurt you. So now you are not only hurt by your ex's actions, you are hurt by theirs too -- talk about piling pain on top of pain.

9. Listening and taking guidance from citizen who themselves have gone though a break-up taste and remained bitter, angry, resentful, hateful and even vengeful. It's so sad that in our community today the voices of bitterness and hate are louder and overabundant. Well, that's the world we live in, but when you are already in pain, you are prepped for anything that temporary numbs the pain, and some guidance -- however well-meaning -- can entrap you in loneliness and doom you to be chronically heartbroken.

10. Trying to get your ex back in a state of desperation, anger or emotional melt-down. A break-up usually brings out "the crazy" even in the most keen of people. All that begging, persuading, pleading that you have changed, obsessive calling, waylaying your ex, writing free verse poems of how the break-up is killing you, manipulating and even threatening your ex may provide you with a serious rush of adrenaline you need for day-to-day survival immediately after the break-up; but these actions also leave you so confused and so traumatized (let alone so mad) that you end up embodying the very real, very deep-rooted fears of total rejection that may haunt you for the rest of your miserable life.

I also want to add, these crazy things you do to try to get your ex back are a tactical mistake if you are reasoning about time to come reconciliation. That crazy like a fox behaviour makes your ex over sensitive to you (not in a good way) and he or she will react to you with defensiveness, suspicion and/or anger.

As my mom has all the time said, how bad something is depends a lot on how bad you allow it to be. So if you feel your pain is over-extended or out-of-control, you should think seeking help from face sources, such as a counsellor, mentor or spiritual advisor. person not directly complicated can bring a calmer perspective to the situation as well as new ideas, and insights that can help you feel normal again.

Yes, you can feel normal again but you've got to want it otherwise nothing will ever work. I've worked with clients who have made their pain their best companion. They seem so considered to hold onto their new found love (pain) so much that it's impossible to break-up the two. Don't let life pass you by!

Volaris Airlines - A New Airline For Mexico

Mexico is getting a new airline and if the carrier meets all expectations it will go a long way in helping Mexican air traffic double over just the next three years. Volaris Airlines, started by Mexican billionaires Carlos Slim and Emilio Azcarraga, is expecting to take its first flight on March 13, 2006. Volaris may impact the airline industry well beyond Mexico especially if its aggressive expansion plans work out.

With the Mexican government in the process of divesting its interest in two airlines, Aero Mexico and Mexicana Airlines, start up carriers are poised to jump in and provide service as fares drop and demand surges. Up to now, the highly controlled Mexican airline industry has put a damper on customer demand as artificially high prices and a restricted market have kept customers away. Volaris Airlines, along with competing start up airline, Interjet, are expected to quickly reshape the Mexican airline industry beginning this year.

PRICES

Volaris is planning to serve at least six Mexican cities and eventually provide service between Mexican and U.S. destinations. No word how all of this will impact wannabe start up Mexus Airlines, currently operating as a "paper carrier" with no concrete plans [or funding] to start flying.

Volaris plans on flying 16 A319 aircraft and has an option on 40 A320 aircraft. TACA International Airlines, based in El Salvador, will hold a minority stake in the airline. If all goes well with Volaris, expect the Mexican airline industry to go through a shake up similar to what the U.S. airline industry has experienced.

Man-Made Diamonds; A Buyer's Guide

It seems nearly impossible to watch TV or open a newspaper without seeing something about man-made diamonds. For hundreds of years science has tried to create a perfect synthetic diamond. Finally, 21st-century technology has made that prospect a reality.

There are many reasons to purchase synthetic diamonds instead of the mined variety. The prices charged for mined diamonds are, in the very best verbiage, an illusion. To put it more bluntly, Cecil Adams, in his award-winning newspaper column "The Straight Dope" says: "Diamonds are a con, pure and simple." Diamond prices are largely controlled by the DeBeers diamond cartel, and they are not a fair reflection of diamond scarcity. Additionally, studies show that one out of three diamonds sold in the US today has been altered to artificially increase its value. Further studies have shown that on average a couple pays 40% too much for their diamond engagement ring.

PRICES

Beyond deceptive pricing, there are the issues of "blood diamonds", forced child labor, and a myriad of other disturbing diamond facts.

Recently, socially conscious celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Minnie Driver, and Angelina Jolie have made a vocal issue of wearing only synthetic diamonds to the many gala events they attend.

Good synthetic diamonds are virtually indistinguishable from the mined variety, but without the baggage, and additionally, they cost thousands of dollars less. But, which synthetic diamond is the best choice?

There are many types of man-made or synthetic diamonds available. The choices are numerous, but unbiased information is scarce. Here is an overview and comparison of the synthetic diamonds currently unavailable on the market:

Cubic Zirconia

The grandfather of simulated diamonds, Zircons are available widely. In their best examples, CZ's are actually a fairly decent diamond replica. Unfortunately, the commodity-like availability and vast differences in quality have made the stone synonymous with low-cost fashion jewelry. Perhaps a good choice for cheap bling, but not for fine jewelry. Many sources are available, a decent one is: http://www.czfantasy.com

Russian Diamonds

Including Russian Brilliants, Russian Stars and others, they are in fact nothing but high quality cubic zirconias. This is not mentioned prominently on their web sites and they will only cop to it when pressed, but that is the fact. Russian diamond simulates are priced around 0 per carat.

Russian Diamonds are a fine jewelry selection and are usually mounted in quality precious metal settings.

Russian Brilliants are one of the best and oldest sellers of "Russian Diamonds" available at: http://www.russianbrilliants.net

Moissanite

Moissanite is a lab-created mineral that is a very good diamond simulant. Moissanite has been on the market as a fine jewelry choice since the early 90s and has picked up quite a few fans. Moissanite is a hard mineral that, like diamond, will cut glass. There are a couple of minor downsides to moissanite however. First, it is quite expensive, (though still cheap compared to diamonds) usually priced about 0 per carat for good samples.

Secondly, moissanite does not have the same optical qualities as diamond and there are several indicators that make them easy to spot with the naked eye for an experienced practitioner. It is difficult to produce a pure white moissanite and they often appear slightly green when viewed in natural light. Also, moissanite has significantly higher radiance and brilliance factors then natural diamond, causing them to appear "too sparkly" to some. Overall though, moissanite is a beautiful synthetic diamond choice.

"Moissanite From the Sky" at http://www.fromthesky.com is a good source of fine moissanite jewelry.

Diamond Nexus

Diamond Nexus gemstones are the result of a fairly new scientific advancement in processing technique, and have only recently been available in the United States.

Diamond Nexus gemstones are excellent diamond simulants and come very close to matching the properties of mined diamonds at many different comparison points. They cut glass, being virtually identical to diamond on the Mohs (hardness) scale. They refract perfect "hearts and arrows" and have radiance and brilliance readings extremely close to flawless diamond.

Best of all, they are currently introductory priced for the U.S. market, and are a steal at per caret. Diamond Nexus gemstones are only available in precious metal, solid-gold settings.

Diamond Nexus is only available from Diamond Nexus Labs at: http://www.DiamondNexusLabs.com

White Sapphire

Sapphire is the second hardest natural mineral on the Mohs scale, surpassed only by diamond. They are, unlike the others in this review, a natural stone. Their radiance and brilliance are not up to the standards of diamond however. Nevertheless, quality white sapphires priced at around 0 per carat are a good diamond alternative.

A quality source is: http://www.TheNaturalSapphireCompany.com

Gemisis Cultured Diamond

Gemisis diamonds are beautiful and almost perfect diamond replicas. Unfortunately, they are not available in a clear, white color, so they are not a good choice for traditional diamond settings. However, if a yellow, orange or pink diamond is what you crave, Gemisis offers stunning choices in beautiful precious metal, fine-jewelry settings.

Gemisis Cultured Diamonds are only available at: http://www.gemisis.com

Recap:

Synthetic diamonds offer many advantages over the mined variety. You can buy with confidence, knowing that you are getting exactly what you paid for, and have not been the victim of diamond pricing chicanery. If you are concerned with the world around you, you can have a clear conscience, knowing that your money has not contributed to the support of an unethical and abusive industry.

However, there are many choices of synthetic diamonds, with varying degrees of quality. Take a little time to review the seller's information to get a clear idea of what the science is behind the gemstones you are buying.

For my money, I believe the best choices are quality Moissanite stones or the new diamond simulant gemstones available from Diamond Nexus Labs.

You can use Excel to presuppose sales tax on a purchase, presuppose the cost of a trip by car, generate a temperature converter, presuppose the price of pizza per square inch and do diagnosis of inputted data. You can track your debt, income and assets, decree your debt to income ratio, presuppose your net worth, and use this data to put in order for the process of applying for a mortgage on a new house. The personal uses for Excel are practically as endless as the firm uses for this software - and an Excel tutorial delves into the practical uses of the agenda for personal and firm use.

The use of spreadsheets on computers is not new. Spreadsheets, in electronic form, have been in existence since before the introduction of the personal computer. Forerunners to Excel and Lotus 1-2-3 were packages such as VisiCalc, advanced and modeled on the accountant's financial ledger. Since 1987, spreadsheet programs have been impacting the firm world. Along the way, computerized spreadsheets have come to be a pervasive and increasingly effective tool for comparative data diagnosis throughout the world.

Today, end users hire Excel to generate and modify spreadsheets as well as to author web pages with links and involved formatting specifications. They generate macros and scripts. While some of these programs are small, one-shot calculations, many are much more principal and work on principal financial decisions and firm transactions.

You can generate supplementary spreadsheets to track data on vendors and customers while maintaining an ongoing account of goods stock.

Let's say you want to know your firm production versus cost. You don't have to be a math wiz - you just have to learn Excel. Excel allows you to input all of the data, analyze it, sort it agreeing to your customized format, and display the results with color, shading, backgrounds, icons and other gimmicks that offer time-saving aid in later locating undoubtedly the data desired. If this spreadsheet is for presentation purposes, Excel helps you put it together in such a visually engaging way that the data may seem to pop and sparkle.

Interview Expenses: Should You Be Reimbursed ForThem?

Should you get reimbursed for interview voyage expenses?

I've helped a amount of job searchers who had to voyage a fair distance to get to an interview.

MOS

In most cases the hiring owner I was dealing with would cover cheap interview expenses.

In some cases it was a fairly easy retort especially when it involved flying a man in. In this case, I have never had an touch where a business required man to fly in for an interview and didn't pick up the costs ie. I have never had a job searcher have to pay out of their own pocket to be flown in an interview.

A cheap business would cover the costs for flying man in for an interview, I believe, if they were beyond doubt concerned in the man and were concerned in gaining a prestige as a cheap company.

It doesn't take long for fellowships to get a prestige for doing things the "wrong way" and this case, being cheap if they force inherent employees to pay for their own airfare, hotel, etc!

But what if you need to incur interview voyage expenses for out of town interviews that you drive to?

This is probably a case of dealing with this situation on a case by case basis.

Of policy I'm not talking about requesting interview voyage expenses for driving across town for an interview and expecting that the interviewing business will pay for your gas or parking. I wouldn't expect that although I have heard of some hiring managers who offer to take care of parking expenses.

I'm talking about a situation where you have to drive a longer distance, maybe some hours or longer, and one that might need you to stay overnight.

I had one client who was a 4 hour drive away from where I worked and since most of the job candidates I was sending this client lived in my city, most of these citizen were taking an 8 hour trip (return) to attend the interview.

Some had to go back for a second interview.

This business commonly only covered driving expenses for citizen who had to drive back for a second interview since they tried to interview citizen over one day to avoid having to ask the interviewee to come back again.

Would I propose asking a inherent hiring business if they would pick up your interview voyage expenses if they don't offer to do so?

Unfortunately this examine is not one that necessarily has a black or white retort because it beyond doubt depends on specifics. The best thing you can do is look at things on a case by case basis and use common sense.

You don't want to lose out on a job for asking to be reimbursed for in gas, do you?

If the voyage costs are significant and you're working with a recruiter, you might ask them if their client picks up voyage expenses and get their help. If you're dealing directly with the business without a recruiter, it will probably be a judgment call on your behalf.

Mind you if these voyage costs are principal and the business doesn't offer to pay or refuses to pay for them, it might be a not-so-subtle indication of how this business treats people.

We don't live in a perfect world unfortunately.

Certainly if you need to be flown in for an interview I'd be surprised if the business did not pick up the expenses but if you're driving in, the business may treat things on a case by case basis or simple expect you to cover them.
