Attic Power Vent - Attic Ventilation Problem Solution Basics

Attic power vent warning:

Fan blades are extremely sharp! When doing any type of maintenance work around it, make sure that power supply to the motor has been turned off! Most of those vents are controlled by a heat or humidity sensing switch, and can become active/cause injury while you're performing cleaning.

THER MOS PA

Humming, muffled noise coming from above the ceiling during the summer is most likely an attic power vent, working hard to pull out hot air from under the roof (attic power vent should be placed close to the roof ridge - top, or installed as a gable vent).

The most common installations include adjustable thermostat and in some cases humidistat, which activates an attic power vent motor accordingly with your preferences (once set, it operates automatically responding to temperature or/and humidity changes).

There are also some devices preset by the manufacturer (usually between 85F - 100F), and attic power vents with no sensor at all, controlled by on/off switch mounted in various location (usually close to the attic entrance).

For the attic power vent to serve its purpose properly, and save instead of wasting your money, certain requirements have to be met:

There must be other, adequate number (or more likely square footage area) of ventilation ports installed in lower section of the roof.

Those ports are called:

soffit vents, if your house roof has an overhang, which extends beyond the house exterior wall or gable vents - located at the attic area, commonly on the exterior wall where the two planes of a sloping roof join, forming a triangle

There's a possibility, that type of your roof allows only for installation of vents on its surface - good examples are hip roofs on many of the Chicago style Georgian type homes, which have no overhang/soffits.

In such case, if the attic power vent has been installed in upper section of the roof, passive vents should be placed not less than 1/3 of the distance between the roof bottom edge and top (ridge). Hip / ridge vent system can be also installed, or vented drip edge mounted along the roof edges.

For the attic power vent to perform efficiently, the attic floor, and all penetrations between the attic and living area of your house should be properly insulated and sealed.

Any gaps, holes, and lack or inadequate number of attic vents will cause attic power vent to create a vacuum, and remove AC cooled air from the house. In some properties, there's an open duct (or two) between the attic and utility room, which provides combustion air for gas burning appliances - it must remain open on both sides.

Make sure that the attic power vent, or its opening is protected with wire mesh / screen. Vents are usually equipped with wire mesh that wraps exterior of the fan blades housing, and prevents rodents from accessing attic area. If that screen becomes damaged and you decide to install one from the attic side, be prepared to clean it often - the birds often build nests inside the fan, especially during the cold season.

Also, some of the larger animals are strong enough to penetrate this obstacle, in the process damaging fan blades. Therefore, it's a good idea to examine your attic periodically - be careful, most attics have no flooring installed, and walking on framing is difficult / if possible, examine fan condition from attic access point.

Before installing a new attic power vent in your house attic area, make sure you properly calculate square footage area - vent calculator. If installed fan is too small, it will have to operate much longer, to move the same amount of air through the attic.

Adjusting thermostat too low might cause fan to run constantly during hot summer - try to set the temperature dial to a 100 -110 degrees Fahrenheit.

The fan should start automatically as soon as the attic temperature rises above the preset setting, and cuts off when the attic is cooled down to approximately 10% below the thermostat setting.

Go Green and try low voltage, solar battery operated power vent - saves money on installation, very quiet, but approximately 3 times as expensive, as a regular attic power vent.

Guide to Bathroom Design

The first step is to plan the design - as with kitchens, your local supplier will run off a computer-generated plan based on the room's dimensions and your particular requirements.

If you're sticking with the same layout, measure your bathroom suite carefully before you go shopping for a replacement so that you know the new items will fit.

THERMO SPA

Re-plumbing and re-wiring will push the cost up so stick with the existing service points if possible - although this may be unavoidable if you want to change the position of the bathroom suite.

First decide on the right place for the bath and/or shower. If your loo is in your bathroom, decide where this will go and then position the washbasin.

Once the fittings are planned you can work out how to use the remaining space which, in modern bathrooms, may be quite limited. Some kind of storage, either cupboards or shelves - preferably both - is required for toiletries, cleaning products, toilet rolls and children's bath toys. If your bathroom is spacious you may also keep clean towels and your linen basket in there.

Choosing the bath and basin can be a time-consuming task. Even if you're not opting for something like a jaccuzzi or indoor hot tub, baths come in all shapes and sizes - standard oblong, rolltop, corner, curved, wider at one end than the other - and colours. Unless you desperately yearn for a particular colour it's best to stick with white. It's clean-looking, inoffensive and will go with any colour you decide to use for paint and furnishings.

Taps, too, come in a bewildering array of styles - choose a design that will complement your bathroom.

Before making your final decision on the bathroom suite it is helpful to check your plans with your plumber to see if there are any potential snags with the designs you have picked.

Even if your window has frosted glass make sure you have a curtain or blind with 'blackout' lining unless you want neighbours or passers-by watching the silhouette of you bathing, washing or worse.

When it comes to decoration, remember to use - or specify, if someone else is doing the work - grout that is resistant to steam and water. Similarly, choose paint and wallpaper that will stand up to heat and steam - look in the ever-expanding 'kitchen and bathroom' ranges.

Pale colours brighten a small bathroom, especially one with no natural daylight but it's fun to experiment with colour. And a large mirror across one wall, especially the wall opposite the window, will help make a small bathroom look and feel much bigger and lighter.

Floor coverings, too, come in all types of material and colour - but avoid carpet which is impractical and unhygienic in a bathroom. Vinyl, cork tiles or lino are good choices - warm underfoot and easy to clean. However, if the surface you choose is shiny always use a non-slip washable rug for extra safety.

If you're installing a shower - either as a separate feature or above the bath - investigate the different types before deciding which to choose. If you have high water pressure you could opt for a thermo shower which is connected direct to your heating system and keeps the water temperature even.

An electric shower system heats the water itself and is mostly used above the bath. Power showers will give you the ultimate shower experience, even if you have low water pressure.

Look for a non-slip surface in both bath and shower. Check with your plumber that the drainage can take the amount of water your shower is producing - an overflowing shower tray can cause serious problems.

Above all, the main thing to remember when redesigning your bathroom is - choose a design that works for your lifestyle.

History of Gas Prices

How do finance professionals in the gas market analyze the financial futures related to gas? Given the constantly fluctuating market prices, calculating the financial future may not possible without a solid set of 'instruments'.

prices

The history of gas prices is a powerful indicator of future trends. Gas market professionals use price history to gain invaluable insight into the gas markets, regardless of whether they buy or sell physical gas or deal with gas financial futures. Professionals undertake a comparison of the current and historical situations, along with the factors that give rise to these, and determine the particular direction of gas price movements.

PRICES

In the commodities futures markets, one can also witness the presence of a wide variety of gas derivative instruments that help to enhance financial performance in physical markets. These instruments are used by professionals to derive information that enables producers and consumers to seek precautionary measures against sudden price fluctuations, apart from serving as powerful vehicles of speculative investment.

Price histories help gas professionals to get the big picture. The analyses undertaken by gas market professionals are powered by data on the real-time gas price, the price history, the trading volume history and other information. Using these parameters, gas market professionals observe price trends and trading patterns, and make informed decisions. Professionals also use price histories to gauge spreads and difference between prices, on futures contracts. For example, professionals might like to use price history to be able to hedge against price risks. Today, more than half of the states in the US use financial tools like futures contracts and weather risk insurance to stabilize the prices of gas.

Price histories also help chart out particular trends in gas prices, and they are correlated and compared to gas instruments in the energy or other financial markets. Gas price history has emerged as a widely accepted analytical tool to understand market fluctuations in gas. Combined with an analysis of seasonality, gas price histories can provide a powerful look into the future.

Why Switch to a Digital Room Thermostat?

A digital room thermostat is a device that controls the desired temperature of your surrounding. Generally what this device can do for you is to monitor and control the temperature which you have set by turning the heating system or the cooling system on and off. For example, when the temperature in your room gets over the limit level which you have set, the furnace will automatically be turned on to maintain the temperature in the house. On the other hand, when you work on cooling the surrounding, the air conditioner unit will auto turn on when the temperature rise higher that the limit level your have set.

Unlike the mechanical thermostats, a digital room thermostat offer users a large LCD screen for you to read the reading very easily. Even older people with poor eyesight will benefit from this great design. It can be impossible for people with poor eyesight to read from the tiny reading bar of the older types of thermostats.

THER MOS PA

These advanced room thermostats can be programmed so that it can be turned on or off as and when you set it to. We are not always home, so what is the use of leaving our thermostat in the 'on' mode the whole day? You know your daily routines and you can easily preset the device and forget about it. When you are out with your family, the thermostat turn off by itself and will automatically turn on when you are home because you have programmed it. Not only will you be free from the hassle of switching the device on or off manually, you will be able to cut down on your utility cost by saving energy.

If you have a concern with the price of a programmable digital thermostat, you may like to install a non-programmable one. With more advanced technology as compared to the mechanical thermostats, the electric temperature sensor is installed to replace the bi-metallic technology. The only set back is that it lacks the programmable feature while everything else works like the programmable digital thermostats.

Before you source around for your room thermostat, you will need to know how many of these devices you need and where you would have them installed. If you have a single air-conditioner unit and a single furnace unit, you would only need a thermostat to do the work for you. However, if you have a bigger house with more than a single level, you would probably have more than one air-conditioner unit and furnace unit, and what this means is that would need more than one thermostat to be install in your house.

Installing a digital room thermostat does not really require the skills which only the professionals possess. As a matter of fact, you can fix the devices by yourself. Unless you have zero knowledge in wiring or you cannot read at all, you can simply follow the instruction that comes with it. If you are still feeling incompetent, get an electrician to do the job for you. In addition, be sure not to install your thermostat too near to your furnace and air conditioner so as to prevent any inaccurate measurement.

You can search and review customer comments of many thermostats online. There are many different types to choose from and there are several great manufacturers out there. These include Lux, Honeywell, and Hunter. You are sure to find one of the many great deals that include free shipping, special offers and discounts from Amazon.com, ebay and more.

Pellet Stove Inserts Are a Great Alternative Heat Source

Pellet stove inserts are a great alternative heat source for keeping your home heated during the cold months. If you choose a freestanding pellet stove or the insert both use pressed sawdust pellets as the fuel. The difference in what you choose is based on personal preference or the available space you have.

People that use pellet stove inserts or the stove itself report that they see a large drop in their energy bills. These are both economical sources of heat that more people are choosing to use every year.

THER MOS PA

Pellet stove inserts give the look and feel of a fireplace rather than a stove. Whereas, the freestanding stove obviously gives more of a look of a stove. The insert type is generally chosen for a bedroom, kitchen or family room. The installation of an insert is more complicated than a freestanding stove. Therefore, they are usually easier to install in new homes or during a large remodeling job.

Some pellet stove inserts come with a thermostat that allows the homeowner to set the exact temperature they want. The thermostat works with the insert and allows pellets to be fed to the stove whenever it needs it. Many people like this feature because it means they do not have to stand there all the time and add pellets.

Another positive feature of pellet-stove inserts is that the pellets burn clean and is thus much cleaner than wood burning stoves. You can find these inserts in many different sizes, just choose one that fits your current situation.

You will find that most pellet stove inserts share some of the same features. There is not a lot of work that needs to be done once they are installed. Fill the hopper with the pellets and set the thermostat and that is about it. BTU's range from 14,000 to 60,000. If you have a small room, you want heated then do not get a large insert.

Other features that you can get with your pellet stove inserts are blowers, remote control and automatic lighting.  Some units come with different size hoppers so they do not have to be filled as often.

Pellet stove inserts are a great way for homeowners to save money on their energy costs. Take some time and look into one for your home today.

Set Your 'Fat Thermostat' at a Healthy Level

Have you ever watched someone who appears thin and healthy
eating a piece of chocolate cake and wondered how they stay
thin? Part of the reason is that they have a set-point in
their brain that keeps their body fat and weight from
varying~ that is, until they do something that causes the
brain to change its settings for weight control.

That's what happened to me when I quit smoking. I'd been
slender all my life until I stopped smoking and gained
nearly 25 pounds! Quitting nicotine had triggered a
chemical process that altered a weight control function in
my brain. My body began to create fat out of what I ate,
where it used to eliminate any excess calories. (To quit
smoking is only one of many events that can trigger a
change in the weight controls of a person's brain.)

THER MOS PA

Let's call the weight regulator in your brain a *set-
point,* and a good image for the set-point is the
temperature you set on the thermostat for the heating and
cooling system of your house. If it is set at 71 degrees,
then the temperature doesn't vary by more than a degree or
two before the thermostat tells the furnace to heat up (or
the air conditioner to cool down).

Your brain's set-point functions similarly, maintaining a
consistent weight and fat level through interactions of
hormones, etc. Exploring the body's chemistry is beyond
this article's scope. It's sufficient to understand that
if your weight has increased (or decreased), it's because
the set-point in your brain changed. And so, if you prefer
to lose (or re-gain) that weight, specific habits are
necessary to adjust the set-point to your desired level.

One. Eat the right things. This is not difficult, if you
follow these clear guidelines: a) Keep refined
carbohydrates to a minimum. That is, avoid foods made with
sugar or flour. b) Eat less fat, but that doesn't mean to
use products labeled 'low-fat' such as low-fat mayonnaise.
Producers have to use so many chemicals to make low-fat,
processed foods taste OK that you're better off just eating
the real thing - only less of it. Also, eat less animal
fat, like cheese, butter and marbled meat. c) Eat complex
carbohydrates: whole grains, vegetables and fruits. Your
body recognizes these as normal foods, so it will process
them to give you energy now, instead of giving you stored
energy (fat).

Two: Drink water. It is necessary to your metabolism and
helps your body eliminate toxins and other excesses.
Sweetened juice, coffee, tea, diet or regular soda, and
alcohol don't contribute to good metabolism or health.
Keep use of them minimal, if at all.

Third, do the right kind of rhythmic large muscle exercise
daily, and sustain it for 30 to 60 minutes. If this sounds
like a lot of time, ask yourself, how important is it to
you to be healthy and/or lose weight? You're not going to
re-set your brain's weight regulator (the set-point)
without exercise - it's that simple. But the exercise can
be a pleasure once you understand which types to do.
Fortunately, your not faced here with push-ups or lifting
weights.

For exercise that will adjust the set-point, 'large
muscle' means in particular to use your legs. Walking is
the ideal exercise to begin with; you don't need special
gear or equipment. You could also swim, bike, or jog. Do
something you can enjoy. 'Rhythmic' refers to exercise you
do steadily, repetitively. 'Sustained' means continuous -
no stopping. The minimum is 30 minutes a day. For
quickest results, an hour daily is better. Your heart rate
should be at a level where you exert yourself, but can
still have a conversation. Go much higher than that level,
and you're no longer doing set-point changing exercise. In
this case, 'no pain-no gain' is undesirable.

If you make these three things a daily habit, (proper
eating, drinking, and exercise) your set-point will change,
and you'll lose weight. I lost the 25 pounds I'd gained
when I stopped smoking, and in the process I learned some
pleasant habits that have improved the quality of my life
as well as my health. Habitually, I eat delicious whole
foods, enjoy a daily walk, and drink mainly water. I feel
good now, and looking good is just a bonus. You'll feel
good, too, and your body will thank you, blessing you with
good health.

Why Does a Car Engine Overheat?

There are several reasons for a car engine to overheat. However, there are three common reasons for the engine to heat and they are the heating system is getting heated up and cannot get rid of the heat, secondly there may to be enough engine coolant available and thirdly the engine itself may be getting too hot and overworked.

Another reason is the thermostat could have failed and it is recommended that the thermostat also be checked. The most common reason is the coolant is prone to leaking and if it gets over, then the engine gets hot. The coolant can easily leak from radiator and hoses or the water pump and the plugs. Sometimes the water stored in the pump can also be causing the problem. Sometimes replacing this part can help the problem.

THER MOS PA

The exhaust systems in the car engine could over heat and this can be checked by looking at the vacuum readings. The pipes and converter can also be checked for some problems. If you do not have technical knowledge about radiator and coolant, it is best that you approach a car mechanic who can check the engine coolant levels and help you out. Some times the problem may be as simple as the electric cooling fan and it may not be working at all. You should start the car and check if the fan is working. It may need to be changed. Also, the antifreeze solution levels need to be checked frequently to avoid any such problems.

Which States Have the Cheapest Car Prices?

It is no secret that some cars are cheaper than others. When people are looking for a car, they often stick with a brand they can afford. However, it is more of a secret that some states have cheaper cars than others. There are actually states out there that have cheaper prices for their vehicles. When you are looking for a car, you can cross state lines in order to get in on the savings.

pricescan

First, Oregon is a good choice. The reason people pick Oregon when buying a car is because the state does not charge sales tax. If you live in Oregon, this can save you thousands of dollars. However, if you live outside of the state, you will have to check with your home state, as they may collect the tax from you.

PRICES

Montana is another state that does not charge sales tax. Like Oregon, you can get a great deal of savings because of this. However, you will need to check with your home state and make sure you will not have to pay the taxes to them.

While saving on sales tax might not seem like much, consider how much you actually pay in tax when you get a car. When you are getting an expensive item such as a car, sales tax can really add up. If you can get away with not paying it, it is well worth it.

Texas is also known as a place to buy affordable cars. Texas does charge sales tax, but they also offer great deals on cars. You will be able to find a great deal when you visit one of the many car lots. There is a lot of competition in Texas, which is why the state is able to offer the deals they do. Many people cross state lines to go into Texas so they can buy a vehicle.

Michigan is also known for its affordable pricing when it comes to cars. There is quite a bit of vehicle manufacturing that goes on in Michigan, and that actually helps with the price. If you live in or around Michigan, you can get some great savings passed onto you. You will find that great deals go on in Michigan throughout the year. People who live in Michigan can take advantage of the deals, as well as people who live elsewhere.

As you can see, it really does matter where you purchase a car from. The good news is the internet has made it easier than ever before to purchase a car in another state. You can do all the research you need and get the car you want at a price you can afford.

You will then either be able to get the car shipped to you, or you can go and pick it up. Either way, if the savings is large enough in regards to the sticker price, this will be well worth it. You will still be able to save money on the overall price of the vehicle.

Average Sunroom Prices

According to NARI. (The National Association of the Remodeling Industry). sunrooms can repay more than 70% of their investment cost. Not bad when you consider that sunroom prices can range anywhere from from .000 - .000 (including the cost of materials and labor).

prices of blackberry phones

Averaging the Cost of a Sunroom

PRICES

Broken down. it is estimated that the average sunroom runs at about .400 in materials. with 00 in materials to construct a deck or foundation and 0 to construct the stairs. Add in the flooring and roofing systems and you're looking at a price tag of somewhere in the neighborhood of .500- .000 dollars.

The second most important factor- that's almost as important as the first- is the cost of labor. Just the labor charge itself for preparing the sunroom will be around .000. Then there will be approximately 50 in labor for the deck and 0- 0 for the stairs. Once. again factoring in labor costs for flooring and roofing. the number lands in the area of .000.

Putting the two numbers for materials and labor together puts the total cost at a conservative .000. This number will of course travel up and down the scale depending on the materials used. Obviously. the better the materials used in building your sunroom. the higher the price will be when all is said and done. Trying to save money by using less expensive materials. however. does not always make good sense. As they say: You get what you pay for.

Features that Add Value to Your Sunroom

Your sunroom can be constructed of aluminum materials with energy efficient exterior and interior and thermally broken panels or for a more classic touch. you can construct it of wooden panels and beams.

There are a number of additions that will give your sunroom the look and feel that match your home's interior and exterior. Vinyl clad sunrooms will convey a Georgian or Victorian type conservatory look. Options such as sliding glass doors and windows with double locks and childproof handles provide a measure of safety to your sunroom.

Investing In Your Sunroom

Style will also determine the cost of your sunroom. Various roof designs such as cathedral. solarium. conservatory or California all have different price ranges due to the amount of materials involved in their construction. Each style also has a number of optional upgrades in its window systems that can be of benefit or just a way to make your space just that much more unique.

Prepare for the Future Gas Prices

When you look at history for any type of pricing structure, you can always see that there's a particular pattern. Whether its food or gas, the price tends to increase due to inflation and other factors including supply and demand. As you've probably realized by now, the gas sector has taken a huge hit raising its prices over the past five years.

prices of above ground pools

Whether you like it or not, high gas prices are here to stay and the government doesn't want to do anything about it. Every time you hear a project where someone runs a car on water, you'll wait a few months and the project and you'll never hear about the person again. While car companies like Honda and Toyota are trying to create more fuel efficient vehicles, it's important that you prepare for the future gas prices.

PRICES

Save your money

If you don't like paying the gas prices you're paying now, you should seriously look into purchasing a hybrid vehicle. Sure, the prices for these cars were expensive when they first came out but like anything, the prices will drop over the years. In the next five to ten years, you should expect a big drop in the hybrid market price. If you start to save a little bit of money right now, your gas tank will thank you in the future.

Research your cars

If you already have some money and you're ready to purchase the gas efficient car, it's important that you make the necessary research stages to these cars. A car and home will be one of your biggest purchases in life and you don't want to go out and just make a purchase like you do at the grocery store.

Make sure that you go around and ask friends and families to see what kind of cars have treated them right over the years. If you tend to go into a dealer, they are going to bias toward their product and you're not going to get a honest review. Another great place to get your information is on the internet but be aware, a lot of the times, you will find that most reviews online are negative.

Change your driving habits

If you don't have any intentions on purchasing a car in the next few years and you just want to stick to what you have now, make sure that you're driving efficiently. If you haven't heard by now, you're driving habits can control how much gas you burn. Technically, the faster you drive the more gas you're going to burn.

If you're driving habits is already gas efficient, you can always look into joining a car pool at work or you could join a ride share program. These types of programs can save you hundreds per year.

Gas prices aren't going down in the future and it's important that if you want to save money you follow a few of these steps. There are tons of ways to save money on gas. A lot of them come to down to what you buy for a car and how you drive. It's your responsibility to take action so that you're driving habits are more environmentally friendly.

Manicure Prices

Only Rich Women Get Manicures and Pedicures, Right?

prices for smirnoff vodka

That used to be the case in years past. All of the special pampering treatments were for the women of means, with husbands who worked and made an excellent living. Rich women always got all the good stuff and the rest of us were left to envy their lovely manicured hands and soft, pedicured feet.

PRICES

Well not anymore. A manicure is for everyone, men included. In fact more men than ever are getting manicures, having their nails buffed to a high shine and then showing them off. A man who does this may be called a metro-sexual, meaning he cares for fashion and personal grooming and indeed takes care of his personal appearance much the same as the majority of women do.

I was never one for getting manicures or pedicures, but that changed this past year. I was shamed into doing both, for the very first time. The manicure was enjoyable; however the pedicure was another story entirely.

Everyone has told me how relaxing a pedicure is and how much they love getting one and how much they thought I should do it. I love it when my wonderful husband, lotion in hand, rubs my feet at the end of a particularly brutal day in the Parenting Trenches. Nothing is more soothing.

As I was walking the mall I noticed a place that advertised pedicures for twenty dollars. It didn't seem to be that much and my feet were in very bad shape, so in I went. The shop was teeming with pretty Vietnamese girls wearing white smocks and chattering away in their native tongue. I know this only because I've had a Vietnamese stalker since I was fourteen and I recognize the language.

I was directed, mostly by hand gestures, to sit in a chair with a foot bath attached. Hot water (and I do mean HOT water) was piped into the foot bath where my tender tootsies were placed. I winced and said the water was too hot.
"Ye, berry hot"

I should have known right then that I was in trouble. I spent the next half an hour having nails clipped, and what appeared to be industrial strength sandpaper slid across the tender and not so tender areas of my feet.
"Berry much dry kin"

I nodded. Yes, my feet were very dry. The skin was dry and horrible. I knew that. It was one of the reasons I came in to have a pedicure. I apologized for the state of my feet.
"Berry much dry kin"

This phrase was repeated many times, accompanied by pointing at the objects of her displeasure. Apparently the industrial sandpaper wasn't' strong enough, so she left and went into the back room for a rather large block of something that looked like it's primary purpose might be to remove spines from porcupines. I then received the scouring of my life.
"Much dry kin"

Rub, frown, repeat.
"Berry dry"

Yes, they are the Sahara of feet. I should be too ashamed to walk on them. Cactuses are velvet compared to my feet. Every time she told me how bad my feet were, I apologized. Yes, yes. I'm sorry for bringing these disgusting feet into your shop. I'm ashamed. Forgive me. What was I thinking, asking for a pedicure? I should have known better.
Tsk tsk. "Rots of dry kin"

When she was done lamenting the state of my arches and heels, she poured oily substances over my toes and worked it in up to my shins. Ah, that was better. No more sandpaper, just a massage with oil. This was more like it!

Then she pushed one foot back into the hot water and peered closely at the other one as if searching for an oasis in a vast drought-plagued land. She looked up at me for an apology.
"You know berry dry?"

Why no, that hadn't been pointed out to me before. Dry? Goodness, how did that happen?

She held out the bottle of oil that she'd poured over my very objectionable feet and I think she said I should use it on my feet.

I forgot to ask if it was 30 or 40 wt.

Increase in Fuel Prices in Europe

The mention of Europe brings to mind quaint streets filled with cabs, bicyclists, and pedestrians. It doesn't initially make you think of fuel protests, exorbitant fuel costs, and rising food costs. Don't Europeans walk everywhere?

prices for smirnoff vodka

The United States is not the only country that has been experiencing heartburn, for the past few years, over the increase in fuel prices. The countries of Europe have also seen an increase in fuel prices. This is evidence that we truly live in a global economy because as the dollar weakens, fuel becomes more expensive for everyone. This is due to the fact that fuel is traded in dollars. So how is the fuel price increase in Europe affecting Europeans?

PRICES

Most recently Europeans have noticed an increase in the price of food. Despite the price of potatoes dropping, the price of chips (of the infamous British favorite, fish and chips) is rising. When this matter was investigated, they found that even though potatoes cost less, the increase in fuel prices in Europe was causing an increase in food prices.

As in the U.S., European citizens have been working hard to modify their gas-guzzling lifestyles. Carpooling, or as they call it, car-sharing, has become a necessity for many. And like Americans, many are doing more biking and walking to work if they live close enough. Some are even finding jobs closer to their homes in order to combat the increase in fuel prices. Despite what Americans think of Europeans, they don't really walk everywhere. They need fuel too and this has caused disgruntled citizens in all of the nations.

Europe has had its share of protests over the increased price of fuel. Fuel protests have been staged all over Europe as people have blockaded roads and waterways crying out for relief from the increase in fuel prices. Protesters in Plymouth, England drove carts 10-15 miles per hour down a 9 mile stretch of road. Some of the protesters chose to stress their point by driving a horse and cart.

There is no question; the increase in fuel prices in Europe is as big of an issue over there as it is here in the US.

Wonder of the Waters - A History of Essential Mineral Baths

For centuries, hot springs have offered numerous health benefits for everything from arthritis to indigestion. Sulfur, for instance, is credited with relieving nasal congestion, while sodium bicarbonate and calcium are said to enhance circulation. A number of studies have also indicated that soaking in hot mineral spring waters lessens the pain of arthritis. For instance, a study published in the August 1995 issue of the Israeli medical journal Harefuah reported patients bathing in the Dead Sea salt experienced improvement in knee pain. Other Israeli study results published in the April 2001 issue of the Rheumatology International indicated that hot sulfur baths helped relieve the pain and lessen the fatigue of fibromyalgia.

The benefits of hot springs, or mineral baths, were first endorsed by the Romans. They were so much a part of life that nearly every Roman city had at least one bath, which served as centers of public bathing and socializing. Throughout the Empire, baths sprung up wherever natural hot springs existed, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Algeria, and The Netherlands. Here, Romans bathed, exercised, and socialized with one another. They were used by the rich, poor, free or slave.

THERMO SPA

The hot springs in Baden-Baden, Germany, were well known to the Romans. In 1847, well preserved remains of Roman vapour baths were discovered below the castle. In fact, the direct translation of Baden-Baden is Baths-Baths. The name actually refers to both the city and the Baden region of Germany and the city lies along the Oos River in the Black Forest. One of the world's great spas, Baden-Baden has been popular with patrons of its natural mineral springs for centuries. In fact, Britain's Queen Victoria was an annual visitor who made the health benefits of Baden-Baden well known during her reign.

Today, the bathing houses in Baden-Baden are considered some of the most elegant in Europe. However, the baths cater to people of all means. There are a total of 29 hot springs, which is conveyed through the town in pipes to the various baths. The waters at Baden-Baden are known to bring relief for cases of rheumatism, gout, paralysis, neuralgia, and skin diseases.

One of the world's first health resorts, the Dead Sea is one of the world's saltiest bodies of water. Herod the Great, the Roman king of Judaea from 73 BC to 4 BC, enjoyed the healthful benefits of the Dead Sea, as well as Queen Cleopatra, who obtained exclusive rights to build cosmetic and pharmaceutical factories in the area. The region's climate and unique conditions created by its low elevation has made the Dead Sea a popular destination for a variety of health and beauty treatments. Multiple studies have shown the mineral essentials of the sea are effective for psoriasis, acne, and rheumatism. The Ein Gedi Spa, a well-established site on the shores of the Dead Sea, offers indoor thermo-mineral pools, resting areas, and a large outdoor bath containing rich, heavy black mud, which is ideal for ridding the body of poisons.

The healing properties of hot springs were espoused by the Native Americans, as well. When Spanish explorer Hernando De Soto reached the Valley of the Vapors in 1541, he was the first European to see the curative nature of what is now known as Hot Springs, Arkansas. For many years, tribes had been enjoying the springs - agreeing to put aside their weapons to partake of the healing waters in peace while in the valley. By 1832, the Hot Springs National Park was formed, which granted protection of the thermal waters, giving Hot Springs the distinction of being the first national park to be designated for government protection.

The thermal springs, situated in the Ouachita Mountains of Central Arkansas, emerge in a gap between Hot Springs Mountain and West Mountain. Nicknamed "The American Spa," visitors from around the world flocked to the natural hot springs. Today, this rich history is preserved in the faithfully-restored Fordyce Bathhouse, a museum and visitors center on Bathhouse Row. A variety of bathing facilities are open as well to visitors on Bathhouse Row and in hotels and spas downtown.

More than 100 years ago, the rich and famous traveled by private rail car to Mount Clemens, Michigan, to experience its magical mineral waters pumped from 1,400 feet under the city. Following the opening of the first bath house, "America's Bath City" reached its height of popularity with luxury resort hotels offering heated baths, which were widely known to relieve the pain of arthritis and rheumatism, as well as skin problems such as eczema. Henry Ford, William Randolph Hearst, Mae West, Babe Ruth, and European royalty made visits to Mount Clemens to partake of its mineral essentials.

In the 1900s, the mineral water from Mount Clemens drew thousands of polio patients. Legend had it that people came to the city in wheelchairs and left walking under their own power. Ultimately, eleven major bath houses operated in the city, supported by dozens of resort hotels, resulting in a thriving therapeutic industry.

What Are Closing Stock Market Prices?

Basically, the stock market closing prices are the prices at which different stocks which are traded in the stock market are closed. Suppose that the price of a certain stock closes at a level of 286 and another one closes at a level of 295. These figures are then called the closing stock market prices of the respective stock.

pricesmart

There are millions of buyers and sellers of stock in the stock market. The price of a stock is determined by how many times it has been bought and sold in a single trading day. If the stock opens at low prices and has greater bought quantities compared to its sell quantities, its price would become higher compared to the previous trading day. If the same trend continues until the end of the trading day, its closing prices would also definitely be higher. This is how the stock market closing prices are determined.

PRICES

The closing price is very important for you since it will help you in making the right investment decision. It is an indicator of the behavior of a particular stock. You can try observing the behavior of a stock by using the closing prices as a sign. If the stock closed at a level lower than the opening price, it means that the stock is losing steam. The opening price is the price at which the stock opens and is resultant of the previous closing price added with the orders of buy and sell. Once you know the behavior of a certain stock by observing its closing prices, you can then analyze and create better decisions in investing.

Happy New Year, Diesel Fuel Prices!

The good news about diesel fuel prices is they are only .231 per gallon according to the Department of Energy's National Weekly report. Diesel fuel prices could be .854 like they were the summer of 2008. The bad news about diesel fuel prices is they are at the highest level now at the end of 2010 then they have been all year. The lowest cost for diesel fuel prices in 2010 was January 4, 2010 at .797, so we had almost a 16% increase. In my view, we are looking for the same thing to happen in diesel fuel prices in 2011. That would give us a price of .74. I don't know if it will get that bad but let's look what is facing us for diesel fuel prices in 2011.

prices of rolex watches

• China continues to boom
• Inventory levels continue to go down
• The economy continues to gain steam, which will increase trucking demand
• Congress is talking about a fueling tax increase
• Worldwide increase demand

PRICES

Let's take a look at each of these topics and you will soon realize that most of these issues for diesel fuel prices are out of your control. The things that are in your control like fuel management, fuel cards, mobile fueling will all play a stronger part in your fleet companies success in its fleet management in 2011.

China is a topic that will never go away. They have approximately 1.5 billion people. They don't even put that high a number up in front of McDonalds. These people are going from pulling carts, to riding motorized scooters to buying cars. Last year over this year they used 10% more fuel. They will continue to grow and cause demand issues on the fuel supply chain and a strain on diesel fuel prices.

Inventory level had been at record highs for almost all of 2010 but our diesel fuel prices still went up almost 16%. Now inventory levels are shrinking. This has a lot to do with the economy getting better. I know we all don't see it but the economy at least the trucking industry or fleet companies demand on fuel companies is getting stronger. Refineries had cut down on products and now need to ramp up to handle what is sure to be a large increase in demand for fleet fueling in 2011.

Tax cuts, tax increases, taxes going sideways aren't you sick about hearing about taxes. Obama, Republicans, tea party, coffee drinkers what's next. You heard me save I believe we need a fueling tax increase on both gas prices and diesel fuel prices. We need to cut spending as a government too but that is not going to get us the kinds of roads and infrastructure that we need for the future. Somewhere in 2011, I think a fuel tax increase will be passed. I don't know when they will start to collect the money but it is something that hasn't been raised in 18 years on the Federal level and something at least in my view that does to ensure the safety of our roadway system.

The economy has been off over the last few years just like the United States. There is no doubt when our economy is doing well so does the economies of other countries. Well 2011 is going to be a solid turn around year for the U.S. and every other first world country will follow. This will cause increase demand on mostly diesel fuel because most of the world runs on diesel fuel and not gas. Therefore, diesel fuel prices will be pushed higher.

Now we can also through in currency and a weak U.S. dollar has on crude oil prices but we won't go there. We also won't go down the road that if we start to blend with more bio fuel in 2011 we won't need as much diesel fuel or that will lower diesel fuel prices.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Start to prepare now by reviewing your fuel management program.

Here is a special 5 step plan to look at for your fleet management.

1. Does my fleet companies operation actually have a fuel management program?
2. Who does fuel audits from our fuel companies, fuel card and mobile fueling providers? Is it my fleet manger, fuel manager, clerk or no one?
3. Does my fleet fueling program have fuel savings with fueling discounts, fleet card rebates or could my company be paying to much on diesel fuel prices?
4. Within 5 minutes can I look up and see how many gallons of fleet fueling did 1 truck take over the last month or a branch or any information that would be useful?
5. When I think about my fuel management system, do I feel good or do I try to think of something else that will make me feel better?

If your answers to any of these fuel management solution questions, did not come back positive, do yourself and your company and favor. Take action now. Get fuel savings.

Tent Prices

Events, circuses, camps, weddings, fetes, flea markets, exhibitions; tents find use in almost every sphere. Whatever the case, budget is a consideration, you cannot sideline because eventually, the tent that you go for would in great part depend on what you can afford. To get an overview, the price of the tent depends on its type, material, size and the additional features it offers. While an event tent could cost you anywhere between 0 and 00, wedding tents in particular are usually priced on the higher side.

prices of blackberry phones

Renting a tent is often considered a cheaper option than buying one. But if you have regular or frequent use of the tent, it is advisable to purchase one. It proves to be more economical in the long run as tents are quite durable. Moderate camping tents or backpacking tents would usually cost you around 0 to 0. However, for all season hiking, where the tent would require additional features, strength of material, and perhaps even ceiling insulation, the prices can ride into even a little over 00.

PRICES

Prices of camping tents vary based on their size, material used and weight. Camping tents are usually reasonably prices and they last long offering good value for money. Prices for a good quality tent that sleeps two people begin at around .

Then the tent structure often determines what you would be expected to pay for it. For example, generally frame tents are cheaper than pole tents. Canopies usually cost lesser than other tents. These multi purpose shelters, are usually not available in very large sizes, and do not offer too many additional features. However, an extendable frame may cost you more than a fixed size tent. Thus, in the end, your requirements along with your budget determine the kind of tent that you should buy.

Troubleshooting Heat Pumps - Learn the Basics

Just like any other device that is used, cooling and heating devices will have at least one troublesome episode and learning the basics of troubleshooting heat pumps will surely be one relief to owners.

You can just try to look into potential problems and address it in a matter of a few minutes then you can use the unit again as if nothing happened. Aside from reduced problems on delay, owners will somehow be spared from fees that might be required should you require the help of a technician.

THER MOS PA

Troubleshooting heat pumps may appear to be a complicated thing but relative to other home appliances, learning the basics is necessary for you to be successful. It is vital that one has at least a good grasp of the parts of the unit.

Of course it would be a little bit difficult if you try to uncover the problem of a device yet you do not have any idea on its parts. Therefore it might be difficult as well to know the root of the problem. First time owners can accomplish this by reading through the user's manual carefully as this surely contains information on the parts as well as its specific location on the unit. But, user manuals can be incredibly boring though.

Finding the real problem once your unit starts to malfunction may not at all be difficult to unravel. For units that have been touched by technicians, it is good to at least have a nice chat with the technician to learn more of the knitty gritty of your unit and which part should you check should specific troubles occur. Often, technicians are more than willing to answer your queries and would gladly be of help in giving out tips.

Once you have learned the parts and its function, you can now start checking your unit once problems are encountered. The first important part to check is the air filter. If the filters are clogged with dirt, the unit will surely not function well, as exemplified by either an unusual sound or a not so efficient heat transfer. It is important that owners ensure that filters are changed as often as needed usually when seasons end.

Getting used to how your unit usually works is also vital in detecting potential problems and so that early interventions can be applied to reduce damage. Be familiar with the thermostat setting of your unit that is appropriate for the existing weather. Should there be a need or if problems persist, you might just have to place the thermostat into a lower setting to help the unit adjust and for it to work properly.

Make an effort to check on the breakers as tripped breakers can interfere with the functioning of your unit. Should you notice tripped breakers for the first time, try to reset them but refrain from doing so should the same breakers trip for the second time. Should this happen, it is time to seek professional help for troubleshooting heat pumps.

Car Repair And Troubleshooting Car Problems

In most cases, when I guess or even take an educated guess, I pay the price. Even though my educated guess comes with 24 years of hands on experience it is wrong nearly 50% of the time. This means I have just increased my diagnosis time, and wound up replacing a part that was not required.

This brings me back to the proper troubleshooting of car problems. Get a good auto repair manual and perform all the step-by-step diagnosis that the troubleshooting manual provides. When you feel like you have found the problem take the extra step and test the individual component.

THER MOS PA

For example, let's say you are diagnosing and overheating condition. Your educated guess says that you should replace the thermostat. Why not go the extra step and actually test, the operation of the thermostat by throwing it in some boiling water and observing if it opens? If the thermostat does open while it is soaking in the boiling water you know that this was not your overheating problem. Using the same example, you may feel that the electric fan motor needs to be replaced. Again, let's take the extra step and test the operation of the electric fan motor. Applying 12 V to the power side of the fan motor and grounding the negative side can test the cooling fan operation. If the fan motor kicks on and runs, you know that this is not the problem with your overheating.

The next step would be to test what turns on the cooling fan motor. In most cases, there will be a temperature switch and a fan relay that complete the circuit to the electric motor. Both the temperature switch and relay can be tested.

As you can see from the above examples, when you are troubleshooting car problems, there may be multiple answers to what is causing the problem. Just guessing, and throwing parts at the vehicle may cost you more than if you took the car into a repair center and had somebody else do the work.

The reason that we work on our own car and perform do-it-yourself auto repairs is to save money, down time on the vehicle and learn something about the troubleshooting of car problems in the process. Using the above example again, let's say that your vehicle overheating problem was a poor connection to the temperature switch that operates to cooling fan motor, which I have seen many times. If you replaced the cooling fan motor and the thermostat, you have just spent about 0 in parts and a full day's work on things that did not need to be replaced. Your overheating problem could have been solved for free with no parts by repairing the loose connection.

So to review, let's make sure before we start the do-it-yourself car repair that we are mentally prepared to diagnose it correctly. And only replaced the parts that are needed. Saving money and repairing the car can be a very satisfying experience. Do not cheat yourself out of this euphoric feeling by throwing un needed Parts at your vehicle.

Laser Hair Removal Prices - Guidelines

Laser hair removal prices can vary greatly depending on the geographic area.

prices

A candidate's physical features also affect laser hair removal prices. According to one authority, an absolute requirement is that the hair must be darker than the surrounding skin.

PRICES

The whole area on the back or the legs can cost considerably more while smaller areas such as the upper lip obviously cost less.

Individual consultations are necessary to establish accurate laser hair removal prices.

Note: Due to the variables involved it is impossible to predict exactly what the results will be for any individual. Many reputable clinics avoid giving guarantees for this reason.

A consumer guide on laser hair removal gives 0 per treatment session as a reasonable average with 3 to 4 sessions often necessary.

Another survey on laser hair removal prices in the U.S.A. gives these averages according to area:

Average Cost for 1 treatment:

Midwest - 7 East - 8 South - 7 West - 9

When checking laser hair removal prices in your area, ask for special offers.

Suggestions For Obtaining Discounts

Offer to pay for all treatments upfront in exchange for a discount. Additionally, you could try and get a discount by giving a referral if you have a friend who also wishes to receive laser hair removal treatment. Some practitioners offer a 6 treatment package which includes 1 free if you pay for 5. Others may even offer a 50% discount on the regular laser hair removal prices if you need more than 6 treatments. In other cases, laser hair removal prices can be reduced by seeking discounts on additional areas to be treated. Some for example, offer a 10% reduction in cost for each additional area.
A final tip: To clarify the laser hair removal prices you are given, be sure to find out whether the quote is for both arms, underarms, or legs or just one.

Conclusion: Laser hair removal prices can vary greatly. Do your research, use the guidelines above in trying to get discount prices and go with the clinic that offers you a professional service for a reasonable price.

Note: For peace of mind you could decide only to go to a Board Certified Dermatologist. Additionally, you may ask to see before and after pictures of the practitioner's own results.

Unique Bathroom Designs

Every human being has unique ideas about his house. People meticulously design each and every part of it. Among that bathroom designing also has a major role as it is the part where one gets refreshed after a tiresome day.

Making a computer generated plan is the first step in bathroom designing. It should be as per your individual likes and the dimensions of the bathroom. Deciding the proper place for the bath and the shower is the next important thing to be done. Some people prefer the look in the bathroom itself. If it will work out the position of the wash basin should be decided accordingly. After this the fittings can be planned out and the usage of left out space can be decided upon.

THERMO SPA

Using a white bath can be considered if you do not have a particular color in mind. The fact is that white will go with any color which is used for furnishings and paint.

It should be remembered to consult with your plumber before finalizing on the bathroom suite. Also utmost care must be taken while selecting the taps. The grout that is used in the case of decoration should be resistant to steam and water. Wide variety of paint and wall paper is available these days in the market. From that the one that is resistant to steam and water can be chosen. If natural day light do not enter the bathroom and if it is small, pale colors would be suitable.

Showers are another common feature of all modern bathrooms. They can be fitted above the bath or as a separate feature. A thermo shower is suitable if high water pressure is available. Being directly connected to the heating systems it maintains the water temperature even. Finally, whatever is chosen should be appropriate to your life style.

Hot Stone Massage - The LaStone Therapy Method

Even though the use of hot stones in conjunction with massage has been a practice for thousands of years, the method known as LaStone Therapy is credited with the more recent rise in popularity for this particular massage technique. Trademarked and only permitted to be performed by a certified LaStone therapist, this type of massage differs from conventional hot stone massage in several ways.

Rather than simply use heated stones to speed up the relaxation of muscle groups, LaStone Therapy is done with hot and cold stones placed in such a way as to align with the body's energy field. The prospect of having a frozen stone anywhere near your bare skin might not sound appealing, but the combination of heat and cold can have a very beneficial effect. Offering a more spiritual approach than traditional massage, this method is said to not only bring balance by opening the bodies chakras, or energy channels, but also to release toxins and enhance the functioning of the circulatory system.

THERMO SPA

The LaStone technique, also known as Geo-thermo-therapy, was developed by Mary Nelson, a massage therapist from Tucson, in 1993. Suffering from a rotator cuff injury that wouldn't heal, she was experiencing a lot of difficulty in her massage therapy practice. One day when she was in the sauna and meditating about how she was to continue in her healing work when she kept re-injuring her shoulder, she began to get visions and messages from her Native American Spirit guide. Initially she was told "Pick up the stones". After a period of confusion, Nelson realized that she was being instructed to apply the hot stone to her body. Thus the process was started and she later said, "With each day's work, I was intuitively led to use more stones and developed a method of progressively opening up the energy channels or chakras of the body."

The stones themselves are believed to retain their connection to the healing properties of the earth. They are chosen for their individual characteristics. Basalt, a black volcanic rock that has been polished and shaped flat and smooth by rivers and oceans, absorbs and retains heat well. Marble, which is naturally cool to the touch, stays cold and absorbs body heat when its temperature is further lowered.

LaStone Therapy is continually growing in popularity. Centers, staffed by highly trained and certified LaStone therapists, can be found throughout the United States as well as in Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Israel and literally all over the world.

Propane Prices Follow the Trends of Other Fuel Prices in the Market Place

To put it in simple terms, propane prices follow the trends of other fuels. It is produced from both crude oil refining and natural gas processing so it is easy to understand the relationship of the price to other fuels. Its price is mostly influenced by the cost of crude oil because it competes with crude oil based fuels for business. One of the biggest factors about the price is that it is portable and can serve many different markets. It can fuel barbecue grills and help to produce plastics at petrochemical plants. While the price is down many companies convert to using propane to cut back on costs. When the price goes up many companies convert back to other fuels to save money. The supply and demand is very seasonal. In colder weather the demand and use goes up, making it more expensive. During the warmer months the demand slows and therefore it becomes less costly to purchase.

prices of rolex watches

One of the factors with propane prices is the cost of transportation. It does cost extra money to transport it with tankers and trains. Customers who live farthest from these delivery areas are always going to pay more for the cost due to transportation costs. It is a fuel that has been in demand because of the high cost of crude oil. The demand has continued to grow over the years. More and more companies and even home owners are using propane for various reasons. Many home owners are now using it to heat their water tanks and furnace usage also has grown in popularity. Of course the whole subject of supply and demand does influence the cost.

PRICES

The demand comes from two major sources. The first and largest demand comes from petrochemical plants. It is used to make plastics and takes up to almost fifty percent of the market. The second largest demand comes from residential and commercial use. This is what you think of when you normally talk about propane use. It is primarily used for heating purposes in businesses and homes. All of these factors influence prices and the market place. You can usually spot check the price from your local gas supplier or through the Internet sites which carry prices for local areas.

Range of Sunroom Prices

Sunrooms add living space to your dwelling thereby increasing its value. The entire process of increasing that space can take less than a few weeks- much less than it would with the traditional 'brick and mortar' method. However. the price will vary depending on the size and materials and even on the geographical location of your residence! Warmer climates may mean you will spend more on a cooling system while a cooler climate may have you on the other end of the spectrum, installing a heating system.

prices for inground pools

Depending on the area used, material and design, building a sunroom can run you anywhere from .000 to .000. That can be a huge chunk of change but it's cheaper (and easier) than adding on the traditional 'den' or guest bedroom. When you factor in how much you can save with a do-it-yourself kit, which knocks off labor charges, you begin to get a real idea of the possible value. Nearly 70% of the investment cost is returned in its ability to increase a home's value.

PRICES

Figuring the Cost of a Sunroom

The first step to figuring true sunroom prices will be by way of research. You will need to make yourself privy to not just the cost of sunrooms but the cost of materials, labor and furniture items. You may have a good idea in your mind what you want but waiting to find out certain details until the last minute can run you into an undesirable financial crunch, Realize that this investment will likely require a budget and if you want the best materials, you'll have to budget those in. Roofing systems and furniture items also need a place in your budget, too!

Other Factors to Consider in Choosing a Sunroom

When it comes to a sunroom, visions of family gatherings and get-togethers with friends give us lofty ideals of what we think we need. This can later come back to haunt you in the end. The best thing to do is to start small and as the planning goes on, move up the area or space you think you will need, if necessary. Why? Remember that the bigger the sunroom, the higher the cost. Although sunrooms repay that cost nicely, you wouldn't want to add a .000 sunroom to a home that costs 0.000 if the other houses in the neighborhood only run about .000- .000.

Go with an established contactor that warranties all their products and materials extensively. Some offer lifetime warranties, some only offer warranties for 20 years. Remember to ask if the warranty is transferable should you ever need to sell your home. This alone can increase the resale value- one of the main reasons many add on to their home to begin with!

You can use the new hot rocks kit to create your own hot stone therapy experience in the comfort of your own home and for a fraction of the price.

Stone therapy involves the application of hot basalt and cold marble stones in a thermo-therapeutic massage and traces its origin back 5000 years to India in the ancient healing tradition of Ayerveda. When combined with an essential oils massage the heat from the stones relaxes muscles and eases ant tension. The cold stones, however, soothe inflamed areas. When the hot and cold stones are alternated, circulation is stimulated which in turn promotes the body's own natural healing processes. You can place the stones down your spine, along your arms or legs or even in between your toes, anywhere you feel you need relief. The whole process can leave you feeling relaxed, centred, refreshed and cleansed.
