Congratulations, gas prices hit the average 4$ per gallon point, with a 138$ for an oil barrel. Can you imagine SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) drivers, I mean, they must have gotten heart attack when they filled up their SUV. People, who used to drive home for the lunch time, to feed their pets or just to spend at least an hour or two at home. Now, these people have to cancel their daily trips, because of such high gas prices. Many people cancel their trips to relatives because of the high gas prices. Tell me, is that fair? I don't think so.
6 years ago, an average driver spent 30$ filling the tank of his car, now such drivers must spend at least 70$ to fill his tank. So the question is, should we wait for the gas price drop, or should we look for other ways?

Some experts say gas prices will climb up by even 20% by the end of 2008. Some say they will drop anytime soon.
Who do we have to believe?
In my opinion, gas prices won't drop ever, just considering the fact that oil is non-renewable resource and it will be lost in 50 years. In addition there are many additional factors, like oil companies effort to build monopolies, so they save oil now, to sell it later for their own price. What really surprises me are people, who whine about current gas prices and can't seem to notice, that everyday gas prices are increasing and it's not such hard to guess that they will grow much higher. I am sure, that when we hit 6$ a gallon, people will remember our current prices and will be praying for them.
If gas prices stays at 4$ a gallon point, that could reshape Americans and make them to think about finding other ways of gaining energy. This is actually very good. There are already some engines built that run on water and air. Practical usage of water is cheap and effective.
